The Texas Association of Museums (TAM) is a non-profit organization representing over 260 museums and 600 individuals throughout Texas and across the nation. The largest state museum association in the nation, TAM provides a network among museums, improves the level of professionalism within the museum community, increases the use and enjoyment of museums by the public, and serves as an information clearinghouse about museums.

The Texas Commission on the Arts was organized in 1965 by the Texas Legislature to develop a receptive climate for the arts in Texas. TCA provides funding and other supportive measures, such as arts education and cultural tourism programs, for a variety of arts-related activities, including visual and literary arts, film and multi-media, music, dance and theater.

The Texas Travel Industry Association is a non-profit organization of businesses, associations, individuals and organizations dedicated to developing Texas tourism to its fullest potential. TTIA and its members work to meet this goal in several ways: by building a strong, ongoing program of work to support tourism initiatives across the state; by linking to affiliated groups to assist in tourism activities, and by charting a course for the future of the Texas tourism industry.

The Texas Historical Commission is the state agency for historic preservation. The agency administers a variety of programs to preserve the archeological, historical and cultural resources of Texas. Through the creation and promotion of heritage tourism in Texas, the THC heightens awareness of the importance of historic preservation while stimulating economic growth through tourism. This is accomplished by partnering the preservation community with the tourism industry and other key organizations at the local, state and national level and developing tourism programs that preserve, protect and promote historic and cultural resources.
